Since February 2007, in the afternoon slot for the transmissions
Metropolis TV will air "The TV of the schools which, for and half an hour once a week, will present the video material produced by schools participating in the project.
In each broadcast 15 minutes of a phone book, " About Us", will be dedicated to archive services that illustrate the activities taking place in schools (eg workshops, trips, cultural exchanges, workshops, sporting activities .. ..)
The rest of the time will be devoted to films made by students, preferably documentaries and journalistic investigations on issues of scientific, environmental, historical and cultural materials that refer to local resources (universities, museums, istituzioni ed associazioni culturali e di volontariato...), ma anche videoclip musicali, cortometraggi a soggetto e produzioni di videoarte.
Nei limiti del possibile tutte le fasi della produzione dei materiali che verranno messi in onda ( ideazione, progettazione, riprese, montaggio ) saranno curate dalle scuole .
Le scuole che non hanno sufficiente esperienza di produzione audiovisiva potranno usufruire di materiali didattici appositamente predisposti e di incontri di aggiornamento per gli insegnanti e (limitatamente alle superiori ) per gli studenti.
Nel caso di difficoltà da parte di una scuola a portare a termine operazioni tecniche di ripresa e montaggio secondo standard accettabili, l'emittente metterà a disposizione, ove possibile, personale e mezzi tecnici ad integrazione delle capacità produttive della scuola.
Sarà inoltre attivato un apposito forum telematico per lo scambio di esperienze e di informazioni tecniche e metodologiche tra tutti i partecipanti al progetto.
Tutte le produzioni saranno valutate da una giuria composta da personalità del mondo della scuola e della comunicazione audiovisiva, che assegnerà dei premi in base alla coerenza con le finalità del progetto ed alla overall quality. how does the TV Schools
The transmission project, the brainchild of Spartacus Vitiello, was developed under an agreement between the association Art & Department of Sorrento and the broadcaster MetropolisTV .
On the basis of this project 04/08/2006 the was signed Memorandum of Understanding between the ' Regional Education Office of Campania (contact Prof. Maurizio Piscitelli) and MetropolisTV , which, among other things, provides that from February 2007 should be broadcasted on the program called "The TV schools," the weekly broadcast of 30 'with at least one replica on analog and digital channels and can use the Web.

because of TV Schools?
At present, any school that has a camera, even amateurs, and a computer on which to run a video editing program, has the potential to achieve audiovisual products of reasonable quality .This project stems from the awareness that these products are versatile and powerful tools that can have an important role in communication of educational content, the sharing of experiences in communication between school and territory .
TV of Schools itself as a system of circulation of audiovisual materials produced in the schools of Campania that uses various channels: broadcasting, the Internet, on physical media (DVD). With
electronic forum will be able to share not only content but also the routes and techniques of production, thus creating a virtuous circle that will help the school to "steal" more quickly than the audiovisual language.
It 'important to realize that only recently have acquired the conditions that make possible a project of this type, in particular:
the cost of inputs has diminished drastically,
the introduction of computer "forced" the school to be able to use electronic technology,
all phases of audiovisual production subsequent to recovery is gestitbili with software running on standard computer equipment in schools.
Internet makes possible the rapid exchange of materials and coordination between stakeholders (teachers, students, television station).

To participate in the project, the Head Teacher must complete the appropriate application form you find clicking here and fax it to Metropolis TV by November 20, 2006 .
Participation in the project is free for institutions that will formalize its membership by November 20, 2006. E 'planned participation in a training module designed by Art & Great for teachers and contact persons involved in the project. If individual institutions were interested in exploring the issues and to improve audio-visual and television is the possibility to organize specific training modules for a maximum of 20 participants (teachers, students, parents)
