CineDAM, screening of the film "Battle in Seattle"

Insegna manga presso il centro di lingua e cultura giapponese Momiji di Bari, da lui diretto. Si e` diplomato nel 1992 presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti, con una tesi intitolata: Hayao Miyazaki, fumetto e animazione ; in seguito ha lavorato 10 anni in Giappone come intercalatore, per la Telecom Animation Film , studio che da sempre collabora alla realizzazione di tutti i film dello Studio Ghibli . Nella Telecom, lo stesso Miyazaki ha lavorato per molti anni, realizzando opere come Il castello di Cagliostro – Lupin III . Ha inoltre lavorato, sempre in Giappone, come mangaka in alcuni importanti studi.
Di recente ha illustrato copertine e racconti per Lupo Editore.
Nel suo intervento, Andrea Dentuto ricostruirà una giornata tipo, all’interno di uno studio d’animazione giapponese, avvalendosi di materiali originali, come acetati e layout, facendo visionare storyboard e immagini.

Fernanda Pivano, musa della Beat Generation, scrittrice, giornalista, critica musicale e traduttrice scomparsa quest’estate all’età di 92 anni, sarà ricordata all’Università della Calabria nell’ambito di un’iniziativa organizzata dall’Associazione culturale Entropia dal titolo "La ragazza che scoprì l'America". E’ indubbio infatti il suo contributo alla diffusione in Italia della letteratura americana e del movimento della Beat Generation. Mercoledì 28 ottobre alle ore 21:30 presso il DAM al Polifunzionale si terrà la proiezione del film-documentario “Fernanda Pivano: a farewell to Beat” (dur.70 min) di Luca Facchini. La proiezione sarà preceduta da una “introduzione al viaggio” curata da Franco Dionesalvi, mentre Manolo Muoio e Maximilian D cureranno una performance composta di letture e musiche. Allieva di Cesare Pavese, Fernanda ha poco più di vent’anni quando viene incarcerata dai nazisti per aver tradotto “A farewell to arms” (Addio alle armi) di Ernest Hemingway, messo all’indice in Italia dalla censura. Comincia così una lunga vita di passione e tensione letteraria: dopo Hemingway, Fernanda Pivano scopre e traduce Kerouac, Corso, Ferlinghetti, Burroughs, Ginsberg, Bukowsky, divenendo ambasciatrice in Italia e nel mondo della letteratura americana. Nei beat, squattrinati ribelli e sognatori, è lei a riconoscere quei poeti e quegli scrittori che il mondo accademico riverirà soltanto 30 anni dopo. Nanda è il simbolo di una fede mai spenta nel potere della letteratura e della poesia.

Fino a che non svanirono definitivamente nel nulla e Riccardo fu ricoverato dai servizi sociali in una casa di riposo. Poi fu la volta dei Mele. Nel mio diario lei era vissuta malgrado l’assenza fisica. Ci scambiammo un cenno d’intesa. Sapevamo che i succhiatempo erano tornati dalla presenza delle piccole gocce di liquido scuro ai piedi dello schermo piatto della tv. - Leggi sempre. This year the adventure of Piacenza, Fullcomics, giunta alla quinta edizione, si è conclusa.
