CineDAM, screening of the film "Battle in Seattle"


The film focuses on the clashes that occurred November 30, 1999 in Seattle (Washington) during the meeting of the WTO, World Trade Organization. Traces, in fact, the memorable days of the Battle of Seattle, through the stories and points of view of twelve characters involved in clashes between protesters and police, and highlighting the anti-globalization movement, which succeeded in blocking the same meeting.

Greetings to all: we start with a little 'information on the magazine. Who was the Lucca Comics, has already got to know, but for those who were absent let us know through the blog, that the current number of Talkink ( Chronos) is not released for technical reasons, but will soon be presented in another important occasion: the XV edition of the fair City Paper, the most important (if not in fact the only) editorial fair that takes place in Salento.
Talkink authors and readers, we look forward from November 26 to 29 Fields in Salento (LE), which for the uninitiated is known for being the birthplace of the great Carmelo Bene.
In the meantime though, we'd love to tell you about an interesting event, the third and final a series that began last October and organized by the Library Evaluna:
(of) animated Dreams, an exhibition dedicated to the films of Miyazaki and that provides for the participation of experts from manga, Japanese culture, school teachers and Lupiae Comix many other guests.
The last day, tomorrow November 3 at 17:00 to Lecce, will take place at atmospheric Faggiano Museum, located in the center and will be dedicated exclusively to animation and especially the movie " The Castle of Cagliostro (Lupin III ).
Diseguito some news on the three fantastic guests and their actions:

Andrea Dentuto

Insegna manga presso il centro di lingua e cultura giapponese Momiji di Bari, da lui diretto. Si e` diplomato nel 1992 presso l’Accademia di Belle Arti, con una tesi intitolata: Hayao Miyazaki, fumetto e animazione ; in seguito ha lavorato 10 anni in Giappone come intercalatore, per la Telecom Animation Film , studio che da sempre collabora alla realizzazione di tutti i film dello Studio Ghibli . Nella Telecom, lo stesso Miyazaki ha lavorato per molti anni, realizzando opere come Il castello di Cagliostro – Lupin III . Ha inoltre lavorato, sempre in Giappone, come mangaka in alcuni importanti studi.

Di recente ha illustrato copertine e racconti per Lupo Editore.

Nel suo intervento, Andrea Dentuto ricostruirà una giornata tipo, all’interno di uno studio d’animazione giapponese, avvalendosi di materiali originali, come acetati e layout, facendo visionare storyboard e immagini.

Un suo saggio, dal titolo Global Media? Eroi-merce, transcultura di massa e mediatizzazione mondiale , è stato pubblicato in " Comicswood. Dizionario del cinefumetto ", Vol. I (Alessandro Bottero Editore, 2003), work in four volumes.

He has won several awards for comics, best screenplay and humor, has made the volume The colors of freedom, with seven writers, combining stories and comics, and comic book, with scenes from the life of Don Tonino Bello , Don Tonino comic . Ha di recente (2008) illustrato l’ultimo libro della scrittrice Pulsatilla Quest'anno ti ha detto male. Lettere a Babbo Natale cestinate da lui medesimo e casualmente ritrovate , edito da Bompiani. Il suo intervento esamina le differenze di approccio, alla lettura dei fumetti e ai linguaggi visuali, in base al vissuto culturale occidentale o orientale.

Domenico è anche uno degli autori presenti sul mitico n.0 di Talkink ( War) . Chi ha la fortuna di averlo acquistato, ha avuto infatti modo di leggere la sua pluripremiata storia Bum. Help! Bosnia Now.
